The Story

The colors of late afternoon October in Maine, magical, bright yet eerie, inspired this witchy piece. A woman in a black Victorian-meets-Steampunk dress walks through a neighborhood full of autumn atmosphere. Is she following the crow? Are they together? Or is he an omen she must read? Lights are coming on in the windows of houses with whimsically shaped roofs as she follows a winding path to a hill glowing in the last golden light of day.

This is an acrylic painting on canvas. It’s framed in an old gold vintage frame, ornate but not wide.
