I painted “Welcome to My Jungle” as a kind of feminist meditation on the acceptance and power of a beautiful older woman’s body.  Woman and tiger both gaze directly at the viewer, as if to say, “This is me.  See me. Take me as I am.  Or not.” This lady and tiger greeting card makes a wonderful Croning card, and I also think it’s a great greeting card to send to a lover.
